Coolpad adds a new smartphone to its Note series. The smartphone manufacturer on Tuesday launched the new Coolpad Note 6 in India. The Coolpad Note 6 is launched as an offline exclusive product. The company says that India is the first country where the smartphone has been launched. The price of the new Coolpad Note 6 starts at Rs 8,999.

Coolpad Note 6 is launched in two variants in India. The base model comes with 4GB + 32 GB at a price tag of Rs 8,999, while the top-end model with 4GB + 64GB is launched at Rs 9,999. The key highlight of the new Coolpad Note 6 is its dual front camera. The Coolpad Note 6 is the company’s first selfie-focused smartphone to hit the Indian stores.

The new Coolpad Note 6 succeeds the Coolpad Note 5 which was launched back in 2016. Camera being the key highlight of the phone, the Coolpad Note 6 comes with a single rear camera setup. The smartphone includes a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with a f/2.2 aperture. On the front, the Note 6 comes with an 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual front camera for 120-degree wide angle selfies. The front camera of the Coolpad Note 6 also includes an additional flash.

In terms of specifications, the Coolpad Note 6 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Coolpad claims that the Note 6 delivers a “ensure a great viewing experience”. On the hardware front, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset with 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor. The phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Coolpad Note 6 is backed by a massive 4070mAh battery, which delivers a standby time of 350 hours claims the company.

The Coolpad Note 6 is launched in only one colour variant — gold. The smartphone is available for purchase from today, May 1 onwards, at 300+ multi-brand stores across 8 states including — Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Commenting on the launch of Coolpad Note 6, Syed Tajuddin, CEO of Coolpad India says, “We are overwhelmed by the response we have received so far for all the handsets we have launched in the past.
