Canon India, one of the leaders in the imaging space, is committed to march on with its pursuit of strengthening the imaging culture in the country. As an outreach to nurture and enhance the passion for cinematography among aspiring film makers, the organization today announced its latest inititiative ‘Streaming Frames’. A unique series of extensive on shoot training by professional filmmakers and industry experts, Streaming Frames is a programme aimed at the selection and training of 100 aspiring film makers live on field projects, spread across India on professional cinematography workflows for WEB as a platform.
It will not only offer a mix of tips & tutorials and engagement opportunities with renowned cinematography mentors to the participants, but will also provide workshops and hands on training to showcase and learn film making skills. The project is intended to take these aspirants straight to the field for professional cinematography training by industry experts, helping them create powerful, story telling video contents and short films.
Highlights of the project will include five days of extensive on-shoot training by technology and industry experts, complete insights on film making process and content design for web, detailed technology insights from Cinema Cameras to Special Multi-Purpose Cameras, sessions on production and post-production and certification from Canon India on having completed the workshop. The series of workshops will take place across four cities – Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Gujarat/Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar, wherein Canon will introduce and showcase wide variety of Cinema EOS and Multi Purpose Cameras and lenses like: Cinema EOS- C200, XC15, C300 MARK II, ME20FSH and Canon Cine Lenses.

We have received an overwhelming response for this project and we are optimistic that this project will bring professional film makers to the field, who will earn laurels in the future.”
Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Eddie Udagawa, Vice President, Consumer Imaging and Information Centre, Canon India, said, “Our latest endeavor ‘Streaming Frames’ is aimed at taking our Cinema segment across the length and breadth of the country precisely to train aspiring film makers in the art of professional film making for WEB as a platform. Each chapter of the project would take participants through a different city, enabling them to capture the breathtaking diversity of nature across different geographies. We believe this will inspire the participants to recognize the power of storytelling and will motivate them to deliver astounding outputs in the form of short films, that we will also be releasing towards the culmination of the project. Our first chapter for the project will be Meghalaya, a location full of stories for filmmakers for travelling films. Meghalaya as a location shall groom the film makers to have complete hands on field experience and understand the cinema EOS cameras and post production solution from shooting to the rendered output.”
The project trainings will travel in all zones of the country and will be directed and guided by Bedi brothers- Vijay Bedi and Ajay Bedi, who are brand ambassadors of Cinema EOS for Canon and highly respected film makers with three Green Oscars and several worldwide recognitions under Bedi Universal.
