We’ve played multiple games by connecting our Honor 8 Pro, iPhone 7 Plus, OnePlus 6 devices to this BattleDock and so far the gaming experience has been one of the smoothest that we’ve seen. The battledock is compatible with most of iOS and Android devices, However, it is not compatible with Windows mobile platform.
Portability and Gameplay – Gamesir X1 Battledock Review
The accessory comes in a blue and white box and has a metallic finish to it even though it is made of plastic. It is quite lightweight and can be easily carried around in a bag in case you are travelling. The dock can simply be lifted above the battery compartment and can be adjusted for a comfortable viewing experience.
The dock houses a 3000 mAh battery which is good enough to last a long time. What we felt was that it is always better to keep the dock in charging mode so that you do not get interrupted while you are shooting that enemy in front of you. Or you could charge the Gamesir X1 Battledock with a portable power bank.
The device has two USB ports that let you connect a keyboard and a mouse to the device in order to pair it with your smartphone.
While the device itself is quite comfortable to use, the setup is what causes a bit of a hassle. However, if you understand the steps and follow them to the point, you should not face any issues. While many reviewers took 45 minutes to setup the device, it took us merely 10 minutes to get it set up the first time and a couple of minutes every time post that.

The dock comes with a manual which has a QR code to download the app. Once you download the GameSir World app, all you need to do is enable USB debugging on your phone and then connect your phone to GameSir World app via Bluetooth. Once the connection is done, you can start a game by adding it to the list of games and start it from within the GameSir World app by using the re-mapper option.
As soon as the game starts you’d see a lot of small icons which represent the keys on your keyboard (depending on the game, the icons could be different) and voila! You are now all set to shoot down enemies with complete accuracy! There’s a long list of compatible games that you can play using this device and it can be found within the GameSir World app.

In all our hours of gaming with this device we never experienced a lag, we did however experience a couple of disconnections during gameplay but that we’d like to disregard considering the number of positives that GameSir X1 BattleDock has displayed.
